Take flight on a journey through the incredible world of animal migration! Discover why and how animals travel vast distances each year, from Arctic terns flying pole to pole to mule deer trekking across mountain ranges. Meet some of Nevada’s most remarkable migrators—including bats, birds, and mammals—and learn what drives their seasonal adventures across the desert sand and skies.

The 45,555-square-foot, LEED certified gold Centennial Hills Library opened in January 2009 and is built on a seven-acre site in the northwest area of Las Vegas, adjacent to Centennial Hills Park. This bustling library houses nearly 110,000 volumes, features a Homework Help and Homeschool Center, and shares a building with the Library District’s Distribution Center, a storage, and overflow facility.
